Hi, there...thanks so much for the offer. I found James B. Caldwell - born 11/8/61 and have talked to his mother...she is holding to the story that he is her natural child...yet the CA birth records does not have him listed in VitalSearch - which I am a premium member of for 90 days...it's very confusing. I also found that there is a James B. Myers listed right after the James B. Lowry with the same birth date born in the same county - so now I'm wondering if the searcher that gave me the amended name for James B. Lowry gave me the right name of Caldwell....maybe it's really Myers. I don't know how she could have but I don't know what else to think. I guess I first need to clarify what the REAL amended name for James B Lowry is - Caldwell or Myers...do they list the amended names in the birth index also? If they do, it would seem there would be "duplicate" births. If not, that could be why Caldwell isn't there...in either case, I am even more confused. I guess I've gone as far in my search as I can without being able to confirm IF James B Lowry is my brother and IF his amended name is Caldwell or Myers....ugh If you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them. Thanks so much for your offer but until I know for a certainty, it would be a waste of more time to pursue Myers - unless I can find out if HE had an amended name....ugh

This info that I was given by a searcher was incorrect...altho' James Caldwell was an adoptee, he was not born of my mother, Anne Fern Lowry...my brother was born in San Diego, but James Caldwell was born in L.A. Sorry for the inaccurate posting - I just posted what I was told by the searcher. Am still looking for my baby brother.
