HI!....
read your message and went to the site of vital search...
Well, don't know what to do? went to the free access for public records (?)...sent me to the net detective display to download..
went to other parts that said free, but can't get anywhere..
have spent about an hour or more trying to do something...tried to access the California birth records menu and got stopped.. Said to go to database ?.. So now I'm stumped!!! I can't access anything that has a fee "it's not my computer !!
So what am I doin wrong or is the info. free or not..."NEED YOUR HELP"!!!......

Angee1 told me what she found on my nieces birth ? possible mother and father name for the same birth date and city..So tried the birth records to see what was there..Anyway will try again and see.... Thanx a bunch appreciate the help!!! Have a good one !!!

Be aware that the on-line version of the California Birth Index is not a complete listing for all births involving adoptions. For non-adoption births it should be complete however. The index for listings involving relinquishment and adoption sometimes the on-line index has both the birth name and the adopted name. Other times it will have the birth name but not the adopted name or visa versa. Otherwise it is a good resource.

Yes, that is where I found the index for the sister's birth. That one appears to be exactly who you are describing. The name is identical and the birth date makes her the correct age. It is the index for the child whos name you don't know that is uncertain, but proably the right one. It is a very likely possibility.

This index is very usefull but not always dependable. My mother is listed under her birth name and her adoptive name. Her sister is listed under her birth name and not her adoptive name.
