I started looking for my friends 2 birthsisters who were adopted after social services took them from our home in 1970 Both we later adopted by different Families. I FOUND 1 SISTER. She had posted here and other registries in 1999. She lived in the same city as my freind and I so I went to the address she had listed. It was no longer vaild nor was the e-mails address she listed. So After having a feeling that I should go back to the old address, in a few days I did and knocked on each door until I found some one who knew Her and her new home address. So i came home and looked up the phone No. and It was the person I believed to be a match. After talking to her on the phone I was 99.9 percent sure it was her. All of the information she has and it was not much , matches. right down to the address of the adoption agency. She also knew a few personal things. The more we talked the surer I became. So She came to my house and the two sister meant for the frist time in 32 years..Now I have a question. They of course want to be 100 percent sure. I have the consent forms from the Social services for contact. Sure we get them notarized and send them back to SS and wait. Is there a faster way now that the two sister are together?? Blood test are a bit more than they can afford. What next? Thank you so much for your time any replies will be so appericated.

The "Consent for Contact Forms" should be submitted to the adoption agency by both you and your sister. The agency normally will confirm if this is a match. This is the most accurate way of knowing for sure. It may take a little while to get the confirmation but it is worth the wait. DNA tests generally cost about $250 and can take up to 6 weeks.
