Has anyone heard if the adoption paperwork is moving again at the Minister of Justice in Bulgaria?

I had the understanding that there was still confusion about how to process the adoptions that were started under the old law. Do you have different info.? That would be great if you are correct. I am SO ready to go get my child.

We have seen several e mails from people who say that the Minister of Justice is at least starting to move the adoptions from the old system? Several people have been informed that their dossier will be reviewed by the MOJ in the next few weeks.

I pray those people are correct. I am one of those people who is just in limbo waiting to go to court and be approved. I wish the people who drag their feet could be in the adoptive parents or adoptive child's place. It's so hard to wait such a long time. But, I have faith that ultimately....God is in control.

We got out of the Ministry of Justice in Sept. and now we are in court. I also have a friend that just submitted their dossier according to the laws and they are waiting for a referral. The agency told them that the referral process will take longer, but once you are matched it will be only 2-3 to finalize. Much better then now...

When did you travel to meet your child? It seems as if a lot of people have already been waiting 7-9 months so far and still have not heard if the MOJ had processed their cases.

We are in the waiting game too! We cleared the MOJ in September and are waiting for a court date. I'm sure they are pretty back logged in papers, and heaven knows, even our courts can be very slow. We did get an updated photo of our little girl; she was crying big elephant tears. I could've lived without seeing that! It made me even more impatient!
