International Adoption Resource Center

These could be sites about the culture, heritage, language, history, recipes, people, etc. of the country.

There are all sorts of resources on the FaCAB1 (Families with Children Adopted from Bulgaria) Yahoo site.
Families with Children Adopted from Bulgaria (FaCAB) There are files with family adoption stories, cultural information about Bulgaria (including recipes), adoption related information, orphanage information, and lots more. There are links to sites with personal stories, photos of orphanages, medical info, etc, etc. This is not affiliated with any agency. It is a parent to parent resource and networking thing...with a newsletter too. ![]()

I'm going to be a nanny for a woman who is in the process of adopting a soon to be 2 year old from Bulgaria. We had hoped she would be here by December but it looks like it will still be at least 2 more months. It's so sad, she flew out to visit the girl in June and got to hold her. Now all we can do is wait. Anyway, I found a site with Bulgarian phrases that also has sound for proper pronunciation.

Bulgarian language course on the web
There's also an online Bulgarian course. They've got some free samples, as well. Even sweet romantic phrases, etc.
