Re: What Next

I am sorry that one would be forced to place her baby for adoption, however I want you to know that babies do in fact remember their first Moms and those first Moms are in fact the Mommies that have changed their baby's diapers, gotten up with them in the night so many times they can't remember, dried their child's tears, taken them to their first day of school, rejoiced with them at their graduation, and so on. This is the Mommy a baby will remember. Just because you can give birth does not make you a mom; it only makes you a baby maker. A Mom is someone who is always there for a child. I know this because I have been adopted and my mother is the woman that adopted me. The women that gave birth to me is someone I will always be grateful for because she is a brave women that gave me a better life. I have a wonderful mother and father, and they are the ones who adopted me. Yes, I do consider them my real parents. My wonderful life also includes a great husband and four amazing sons, one of whom is adopted and is loved just as much as his brothers. He is truly, in every since of the phrase,"my child", and guess what -- I did not have to give birth to him for this to occur.

So, for all of you moms who choose to adopt, just ignore these crazy remarks. They are comining from angry birth parents who could not take care of a baby or adoptees who obviously have not had a good life. These people are sick individuals who are jealous of the truly great people that are parents from either birth or adoption. Just be a wonderful mother or father and your child will know that the person who takes care of him or her is their so called "real parent." A quick reminder for us all is that our children are really God's children, and He only gives them to us for a short time till we return home to our heavenly Father. By the way, for those of you who want to breastfeed your baby that you adopt,"go for it"! What could possibly be wrong with breastfeeding your baby. You are this childs mother don't let theese sad individuals tell you differently.
