wow, really? Maybe I should bump up my intake! I am taking only 80mg/day.
I am finding now that I will actually start leaking if I go too many hours without pumping. Often, I work all day and it will be 8 hours in between (like today) and I had found that I leaked a little when I got home. Also, I took last night off so it was about 7 hours inbetween and I was leaking this morning around 5 am, 3 hours past when I normally pump.
Michelle, do you have the sns or the lactaid ready for when your son is born?
We are not matched yet but I am thinking of ordering one or the other. Not sure which one is better. Any ideas?

I have 2 of the lact-aid system ready. I am planning to put him on the breast first for a feeding then supplement using the Lactaid and frozen breast milk.

I guess I should order the lactaid but we dont even have a match yet so I havent really thought about getting it. Good idea though, especially if it has to be ordered.

I wouldn't order anything if you haven't even been matched. I didn't need *anything* for my son. I had a full supply by the time he came home.

Wow, a full supply would be amazing! I feel like with the rate that I am increasing all the time, maybe I will get up there soon enough! This morning when I pumped, I got nearly 1 full ounce just on the one side!

How much are you getting now a day? I know you were at 5 ounces about a week ago. Are you getting more now?

I am *almost* to 7 ounces!! I pumped 201cc yesterday and, as I am sure you know, 210cc is 7 ounces!

RiAnnon I know you did not follow the protocol and started off just like me. How did your supply grow the first time around. walk me through what you did, how you pumped and what your output looked like month to month.
I've been at this for 3 months and even though there is progress it feels like I will never get to producing nearly as much as 7oz a day.

Hmmm....I know that I started just pumping in early May and in late June I added Fenugreek and Blessed Thistle and still made NO drops even of milk. I did feel the need to pump regularly and did feel emptier or something afterwards. On August 1, I started Dom and had drops within a couple of days and I know by sometime in October I was making 16 ouces and then went up to 120mg of Dom and was making 20-24 ounces a day after that. Then in Dec. I started breastfeeding Isaac and I don't know exactly what I amde, but I no longer pumped and didn't need to supplement.

I'm praying for more milk. I have a growing supply in the freezer and I even got a donor lined up. My goal is to be able to supply as much birthmom as possible for the 1st 5-6 months then add and continue Breastfeeding until self weaned.
I breastfed all 3 of my bio kids for an average of 2 years each. My youngest stop nursing just a little over a year ago at 28 months old. She still talks about it today and tells everyone that she is saving the milk for her baby brother cause she's a big girl now. Although she doesn't mind a sip of the good stuff every now and then when mama is pumping.

Wow, the increase is incredible! I have only been at this for 3 weeks, so my increase feels like a lot but 12 ounces? Wow! I hope that I can be there sometime soon too!
Did you say that you pumped every 3 hours around the clock or what did you do in that area?
My regular has been about 5 times with a steady increase each week. I am getting around 2 ounces out of one side now and about half to 3/4 of an ounce on the other side.
Way to go on the 116 ounces stored! Yay!
