Has this happened to anyone else?

My husband and I will be adopting a baby boy in june so I started pumping about every 4 hours and taking herbs this past week. Right off the bat I was able to produce a few drops of a clearish liquid(tmi sorry!). The next day, even more. But now, after 4 days, I'm hardly getting anything out of the right side. The left is still just a few drops. I know I won't necessarily produce full milk until I start nursing but I wanted to make sure I was on the right path. How long until I should start to see more at each pumping? If anyone has good tips on inducing lactation without hormones I would love to hear them!

It is not uncommon at all for you to get some drops and then nothing. I am not exactly sure what those drops are, but I got them at first and then nothing....for months. I didn't get milk until I started taking the Domperidone and at that point I had been pumping for 3 months and taking herbs for 2 months. It is rare that someone gets a full supply with just herbs. If you want to breastfeed using a lactaid and it isn't about the milk for you, just the bonding, that is perfectly fine. If you want more milk, I would suggest the Domperidone. good luck with your milk making!
