pls share your experience with me on Domperidone. I have my own (non adopted) baby, but can not find many people on Domperidone to ask.

I was using 6 x 10 mg/day to BF my 6 mo.old baby, things were going pretty well. I tried to reduce the dose (as suggested by Dr Newman) by dropping a pill. This resulted in a dramatic drop in milk production! I am in total panic!
(By using a scale bf/af I am at 60% of production).

I am now taking 6 pills again, but I see no change yet after 3 days. My baby is hungry and I have to supplement with formula to stop her screaming...

Does anybody recognise this? Can I repair this, and how?
What is your dose and how long are you taking it?

please help, I am afraid this is the end of BF for us.

Are you eating oatmeal regularly? I did not induce lactation but when my milk supply went really low, the doctor suggested I drink a beer. Now I hate beer and could hardly stand getting half a can down, but it did work.

Took between 80-120 mg per day for 2 years, went off for 1 year while continuing to breastfeed (I weaned down slowly) and then went back on almost 1 year ago to prepare to tandem nurse my son and our new baby when it comes. I have been on 90mg per day since then.
