hey tggr, im not sure as to what her proper name could be. another friend of mine said it could be carol as well. all i have to go on really right now though is carrie. but nething with the last name of mcclure i guess could be a start. she had siblings and apparently 3 other sons (not sure to the truth of that) so i know the family name is still around somewhere and that someone out there knows her. its just the thought of her not wanting to remember it therefore its insanely hard to look for her.

I found a Caroline Elaine McClure, located in Northport, which is north of the location you mentioned.

Can you find out any additional information, such as a middle initial, or a proper first name? I would hate to give you an incorrect lead. I hope you understand..............

well, im not sure of where this caroline u talk about is located but if you know of her being married or not it may not be her. however, its worth a shot bc the mcclure name is still very much alive im sure since she had brothers and other men in her family. a middle initial would make it easier but i dont know of one and i alson dont know iof a proper name. i think im leaning towards caroline though bc that is the name i have heard of from a few different people that may be a proper name for carrie. as for an incorrect lead, im so used to it by now with myself and others helping me that its not gonna break my heart right away if its not her. (i wish i knew if she was looking for me though)...i guess theres no way of telling wether or not she is looking or anyone in my family would be looking for me. almost heart breaking for that. i also have another question all though im not too sure how its going to sound once it is posted. my adoptive family told me that i shouldnt try to look for her or neone in my family bc its a sad story and i wouldnt be happy with what i found out. what does this mean??? id be more than happy to just know my heritage and background! its frustrating as all h-ll to start lokoing again. any more help is appreciated and ill try o get a hold of my birth certificate for some more information.

one last Q-is it possible for the adoptive family, at time of adoption, to change the original birth certificate so that there would be no way of finding her? such as dr name, time, date, and so on? ive heard rumors and im just not too sure. an answer to this would definitely give me a clue...since my Amom was able to pull MANY strings to do certain things. thanks again.

how do u find out the name at birth? is it given to the baby by their birth parents, or the hospital? if known i can give u mine. and also, what if the birth parents dont give a name at birth? does that mean they dont care? if so my search is over

Well...........either family is asking you not to look for your mother, because they may think that an unknown burden is too hard for you to handle, or they are blowing smoke in your "general direction". Just as anything else in life, be prepared for the unexpected. Not knowing the type of family members that you have, it would be unfair for me or anyone, to speak against them.

Stay as calm as possible.............what is meant to be, will be.

As far as the altering of the birth certificate......

You were not born in the old west era, or in some absolute small town. So, I would be inclined to think that such an alteration would not be easily possible in the 1980's.

Possible..................anything is possible.
Probable.................highly unlikely.

There are many checks and balances in today's society for such a dishonest act to occur. (one of your parents aren't like the mayor or anything......are they?) Just kidding!

LOL....i just had to laugh at that bc actually, my dad WAS the mayor at the time of my adoption and a very well known person in my town as well as my amom who was a private attorney and also worked with many cities in broward county as city attorney etc. so the idea of things being changed are VERY likely. ugh, im frustrated today bc ive been looking for 2 wks str8 now and with nothing....someone help me!
