I finanally got my original birth certificate. My name was Baby Girl King. My mother's name was Debra King. Her town of residence was Kiowa, Oklahoma in Pittsburg County. My palce of birth was Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City. My DOB is correct at 05/24/1973. Certificate states she was 18 and her birth place was Cam Tome, South America. I am finding there is no such place. There is no info on my father. There is no other identifying info on Mom. I believe I am at another road block. Any suggestions??? Please advise- I am appreciative.

contact the public library for City Directory listings of the surname King for 1972-1974. She was probably living with parents. This should give you more names to work with. Make sure you ask for City Directory listings and not phone book. City Directories will list all in the household together. PM if you want more suggestions.

Thank you for your input!!! I think I have found her by accident. I went to classmates.com but she wasn't there. So I decided to call the high school to see if she was really there in those years as a student. The person that answered stated they know her and her family and wanted to know what was going on. I didn't tell them very much. I hope I haven't blown it. They told me if I was looking for her, I should come to town and ask for her and I would find her. I can't locate her online. I may have to take a long trip there to ask questions. I honestly don't want to hurt her or be intrusive upon her current life. I am afraid of upsetting this delicate and strange situation. I don't want to ruin a chance of reunion. Any further suggestions. I have a phone number of possibly, her parents. Should I call or just go to her home town for info???
Please advise!!! I am now terrified, but I need the medical and race information.

might try looking for marriage records in her county since you know her maiden name.... also ty people finders they list current last name but show other ( past names) and approximate ages

Good evening!!! I took your advice Paige. I went to Kiowa and Pittsburg, Oklahoma on Wednesday. I hope everything is alright. I stopped at a convience store to look at the phone directory before I went to the high school. They asked who I was looking for. The clerks stated they had lived there for a very long time. I told them who I was looking for. They stated they knew her and grew up with her. Then one of them got a suprise look on her face and said, "Your her daughter! I knew it!" They stated that I looked like my Mom's sister and that my Mom is a real sweet heart and she would be so happy for me to look her up. They let me write a letter for her. They stated she comes to that store on a daily basis and if she didn't make it un, they would hand deliver it. I wrote the letter and left it for her. I am very nervous and scared. I honestly don't want to do her any harm or make her feel bad. Yet, I still need the info and would like to meet her. I wrote all my phone numbers, addresses and e-mail for her to call me. I haven't heard back yet. I hope and pray this is the right person and that she calls. Thank you for all of your continued help!!! You have excellent advise!!!

My last post, I took the trip to find her--- The letter proved to be excellent. She called me Sat. 5/17/08. It IS her!!! MY MOM!!! She was told she would be prosecuted if she tried to find me and a whole bunch of other things. She was young and beleived them. The loss was devasting to her for awhile. She stated she had prayed for this day to come and we are going to meet this weekend. I am not expecting miracles or instant love in this meeting, but I am so glad for this opportunity and a dream come true. I can't wait to see where this journey takes me. I got to talk to my grandmother!!! My Mom and Grandma are as excited as I am. I can't make up for 35 years of Mother's Day cards, so I am quickly building a scrapbook of my immediate family for them so we can try to catch up alittle. OH MY GOSH!!!! Thank you all for your advice, support, and comfort in this. It has been a long road. I am blessed to have this day arrive!!! I pray many blessing on each of you as you have been such encouragement to me to continue the search!!!
