I am reposting my search! I am looking for my older sister. She was born 9/5/1970 in St. Petersburg, Florida to Sharon Lee Carr.
Mother stayed in Florence Crittenden home in St. Petersburg during pregnancy. Vital records confirmed the birth date and place. Mother was under age and her grandmother controlled the situation completely. I am not positive the birth father even knew about the pregnancy. I have posted in many boards and so far I have become discouraged. There have been many possibilities but in the end it doesn’t pan out. Don’t get me wrong, I will never stop searching for my sister. I would love to meet her and to let her know that her mother loved her right up to the day she passed away. Mom always hoped that one day my sister would come looking for her and was pretty excited the day a young girl she met told her she had been adopted by doctors. Mom’s grandmother had told her that was who adopted her baby but we never knew if it was true. Well needless to say this young girl turned out not to be moms daughter but she became one of moms best friends. Mom was diagnosed with leukemia in March of 2001. She died from it may 7th 2001. She left behind four daughters. We three are hoping one day to connect with our fourth sister! Is she out there searching for us? That is a big question in my mind. I would love to be able to hire an agency to do some of the searching for us but none of us are that financially well off. Some of the agencies I have contacted are pretty **** expensive with no guarantees. All three of us have children of our own and we love to share our families with our older sister. We don’t wish to intrude on her life but we do want her to know we are out here if she ever wants to find us. The sad thing is if she goes to some search sites or does a name search for her mother she may come up with the fact mom has passed and end her search there never to know there are more of us looking for her. What should I do? At this point I almost feel like giving up but I know I never will. I made a promise to my mother that I will honor until the day I die. I promised I would find my sister and I will no matter how many days I have to sit in front of this computer and search every posting there is, or how many times I read an e-mail that says "am I her" I will respond to everyone of them. Good or not. I may be slow about answering but I will try my best to reply. plz if you are out there just let me know you are happy and you know we are here! I know my mother died of some kind of desease within the past 10 years. I know my family is looking for me. I wish I could find them too. i was born 4/24/1970 in pensacola so im told my mother was only 13 when she had me was told her mother and grandmother took good care of her while she was caring me . my father was supposed to be 17 .i know birth cert are changed at times so was just wondering if his could be my case . thanks for your time.. shelly
