Brother born in FL 01/07/65

My mother and I are both looking for the son she put up for adoption. She was 16, brown hair and brown eyes.
St. Pete area-Florence Crittenton Home for unwed mothers
If anyone has any information that would help me in our search, we would be greatful. Both of us are new to this.
I know that she did get to hold her son and breastfeed him briefly before he was taken from her. And that they had to wait to adopt him out as he had a slight heart murmur. So I am assuming his adoption date would be sometime in July 1965.
I do not know the hospital that she gave birth at. I will have to get that information from her.
I would really like to meet my brother and let him meet his 3 nephews and nieces! And my mom would love to meet him. If nothing else, just to make sure he is ok and had a good life if he does not want a relationship with her/us/me!
I talked to my mom and she does not recall the name of the hospital. She thinks she might remember if she hears it though.
Anyone know of the names of the hospitals in that area that mothers of F.C. would/could go to in 1965?
We are still looking and hoping to hear from anyone who may know my brother!
My brother was named Baby Boy Boyd and he weighed 6 pounds 11 ounces!
If any of this sounds familiar, please contact me!!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
D

There was a three month waiting period to sign in Florida in those years.. I know of one Florida birthmom circa mid sixties that tried to specify that her birthdaughter be taken into the adoptive home right away.. she thought they had done it and on reunion found they had not.. So the date of the adoption begins at three months after birth.. (this to the best of my knowledge)

I put ‘State Florida registry adoption’ on google and there are a lot of links..

My bson found me on a Florida search site.. I put his birthdate etc.. and he found my email address..

Also your mom can get her nonidentifying information.. I got mine.. and that information told me a lot about his aparents..
I was able to make certain he was my bson by writing down his amoms education etc..
We knew we had a match..

Please give your mom a hug from me.. I guess in some ways we are sisters in relinquishment..
I got pregnant in Boston in 1964 and took the bus down to Miami where my parents were living..
I will never forget that bus trip through Florida..

Jackie
