My mother was placed for adoption at birth. I had tried a prior search but I gave up. I'm ready to start again. The information I received before may or may not be true.

My mother may have been born Rebecca Bjorklund on 8/29/61. BMother may have been Joan Christen/Christenson. In my prior search I was told that she was deceased, but all information is unreliable.

I know for a fact that my mother had older siblings at the time of her birth. I would be interested in contacting ANY family.

WARNING: I have no money. Any potential scam would be wasted on me.

I surfed the web for nearly 24 hours making and reading posts. I found a post that was pretty old but seemed to fit the description.


I'm crying and shaking because I just found my aunt!

I pulled this up on vital statistics and it seems to fit what I already know. The only thing I find a little troubling is that my mother is Becky or Rebecca. The same woman is listed as giving birth to 2 children that day and I can't decipher whether it is a typo or a twin.

Hi,
I am a California adoptee who recently found my birth family.

It's my understanding that on the CA birth index that there are alot of dual listings for names like Elizabeth/Lisa, Gwendolyn/Wendy, and Rebecca/Becky. Also, that CA birth index is not a complete listing of all births. Sometimes it has birth names, sometimes it has adopted names, sometimes both, sometimes neither.
