Thumbs up finding your family

jdecember - I have just recently found my birth family...like just three days ago. The first thing I did was get unidentifying information from the place that adopted you out. Like the Health Dept. or DHS from that state. Then I petitioned the courts to open my records and copy the contents and mail to me. The judge has to approve this. It's happening more and more these days. Then I found my mother and fathers names...I started with the social sec. death index and found that my father was already passed. I called the library from the city in which he died, and they mailed me an obituary. Which in turn, had my 1/2 sisters/brothers and full sisters names and place of residence at the time of death. Now we are in contact by email and phone. It's awesome.
I suggest you start at the beginning and work your way forward. If you need more suggestions, let me know.
Good luck... Janna/Oklahoma mumof2bys@aol.com

were you possibly born in washington but adopted in oregon?
I am looking for my half sister born about your DOB in a private adoption. Adopted by a older couple as well. Possibly lived or living on washington county.

Most likely thin and short, w/brown hair and eyes, but not for sure. I would like to know either way please email me.

Thanks Stacey
