ISO half-sister born April 1963 (4/?/63) Manhattan NYC
Hello all, had originally been told by my dad that we had a half-sister that was born in April of 1964 and so had posted to the 1964 board. However, my sister recently had a more in-depth talk with him and they did the math and realized it was 1963 not 1964.
Looking for our half-sister, you were born April of 1963 in New York City (Manhattan). Adoption was evidently handled through private agency/lawyer. (I have no further information in that arena.) Your bmom's last name is S___ and your bdad's last name is M____. (More information available on the parents, am holding it back for matching purposes -- am sure y'all can understand.) This is all quite probably a long shot, but you have two half-sisters out here who'd love to meet you! |

Long shot . . .
Hi. I am a female who was born on April 30, 1963. However, I was born in Omaha, Nebraska. I don't know where my birth parents had lived previous to my relinquishment. I do know some of the non-identifying information about my birth parents though. I also know that my birth grandmother secretly whisked my birth mother away from the rest of her family in order to give birth to me and immediately put me up for adoption. I was also adopted out of Omaha, Nebraska. My adoption papers were finalized in Idaho because my adoptive parents had to relocate there. Ring any bells? If not, I wish you the very best anyway. Take care.

Don't you just want to conk a few of the heads of people responsible for adoption laws and practices together and scream, "What were you thinking?!!" I totally respect the mother's (and father's) right to privacy, but at the very least they could have left well enough alone with the birth records.
My father is primarily of Irish decent and the first name of the birthmother in question does not begin with T. These were two young kids in the throes of hormonal passion. There were no other children, no marriage(s), just ordinary interests that you'd have growing up -- at this particular stage in their life, I think it safe to say that partying and passion were what they were after. |

Assume this was private adoption. East Meadow/Huntington L.I. NY jschling@snet.net |

At this point, I'm willing to say anything is possible. Am certainly not certain of date. And wonder how certain my father is of birthplace -- or rather if he had been told the truth. I'll shoot you a PM and let's chat. -M

to the best of my knowledge, no. the birthparents in question both are from another state. she was brought to nyc to give birth...
i have no idea if she stayed with family or at a home or.... it's seemingly a case where the birthmother's family, in particular, were looking to keep it underwraps as both birthparents were relatively young at the time. |
