Do not need to meet them in person just want heath info. Unless they would like to meet.

HI- Its been along time since I have checked this site out. I have just about given up hope. And today I decided to check it out and there was your reply about Sparta. My father was born 6/45. He was adopted by a family in Brookfield. I was recently told that both him and his brother could possibly have the same mother. But I am very unsre of that as they look nothing alike. However my uncle looks alot like my grandfather. I was told that maybe my unlce is really my grandfathers child. Also my grandmother did try to have children and either had miscarriages and 1 was still born. I was also recently told that there is a great possiblity that my fathers adoptive parents were maybe some kind of cousins. But they never knew it until after they were married. Must be very distant cousins if they were able to get married.
I was thinking maybe the name of the orphanage was something like Shrank or that is the last name they carried w/ them from the home and that was the homes name. All I was ever told by my grandmother was that the boys were adopted. She and my grandfather have since passed away. The rest was told to me by my dad. The Shrank came from possible adoption papers that I had seen at one time. His adopted name was first and middle George Robert. The 1st name has since been changed. I will be getting forms in the mail to fill out from WI. But I am sure there is a good cost involved. I was very surprised they said the would send them to me. I am wondering is that jsut going to give me the birth parents names? And will I be able to go from there to get health info. Thank you all for the help. If anyone has any more info please post it. This means so much to me. I am in bad health. My sis may have heatlh issues and my husbands father does not know his father. Never met him no one knows anything about him. So if I could get at least some info on my fathers b-parents I would know what to excpect for my children. Thanks again!!! DE Oh Sorry he was adopted in WI Last edited by De lou : 05-29-2003 at 03:31 PM. |
