My mother gave birth to a son in the summer/early fall of 1945 in either California or Missouri. Her maiden name was Senn, and she gave him the name of "Neil."

IU might be able to help. My aunt, last name Thummler, had a baby who was put up for adoption in Los Angeles at about that time you're interested in. I only learned this a few months ago from another aunt. It's been kept a secret all this time, but you can email me if you want and I'll tell you what I can.
