My mom, Doris Jane Brummett (b. in Bloomington, IN 2/7/26-d. in Phoenix, Az 10/11/99) had a baby girl around Easter, 1938-1944, who was named Doris Diane at birth. Mom went to live with Joe and Ada Eudaly in Indianapolis, IN while pregnant. The Eudalys adopted Doris Diane...but soon after divorced. I have been in contact with many relatives of the Eudalys, one saying the child had died, another saying that the child was given back to the agency after the divorce. The 4th wife of Joe, however, said that on a drive to visit someone, Joe pointed to a house and said "That's where my adopted daughter lives". This was in 1970, so my sister would have been in her late twenties or early thirties. If she had been given back to the agency after the divorce, how did anyone know where she lived? Plus, a son of Joe's 3rd wife said he thought the adoption date was 1938/1939. I really don't know what to believe. To Doris Diane: Wherever you are, you may have a different first name now as well as last, but you have three siblings in Arizona who would like to meet you. If you want no contact, I will accept that. I just want to know you are alive and well. I am sorry to say our mom passed away in Oct of 1999. She had non-hodgkins lymphoma and battled it for seven years. Your 1/2 sister, Pam.
