True Short Stories on Adoption

I am still reading a book that I thought you all might like to read. It is a collection of true stories from birthmothers, birthfathers, birthgrandparents, adoptive parents, adoptive grandparents, and adoptees themselves. A few of the sections tell the same story from all sides of the triad which gives a unique perspective to the whole situation.

Loved by Choice by Susan E. Horner.

This book covers all genres of adoption including open and closed from all eras as well. Most of the stories are rather touching and heart warming.

Now, the only negative with this book is that it is a "positive" book. There are no negative stories in this book. No "I Would Have Never Done It," "The Adoption Fell Through," etc. They're all supposedly great stories of how adoption is wonderful. Of course, I don't totally agree with portraying anything as a one-sided arguement, but frankly, I was just looking for a book that would leave me with a smile on my face. And it did.

If you're looking for a book that provides arguements for both sides of the ordeal, this is not your book. But if you're looking to feel good about what you're doing, which we all need at times, you may want to pick this book up.
