anxious about visit
I placed Patrick for adoption when he was born. I have a very open adoption. I lived in Texas at the time of the adoption. I used to see him at least every few months. In May I moved to North Carolina to complete my college degree. It was one of the hardest decisions I had to make. It has been extremely hard being so far away from him. I haven't seen him since the end of April.
Anyways, I am going back to Texas for a week during Thanksgiving. We will be doing a few visits to make up for lost time. And I guess I am just getting extremely anxious since I haven't ever gone this long without seeing him. He is 2 now. They grow up so fast! I know he remembers me. On his 2nd birthday, I called them and they put him on the phone. Then a week later they called me to tell me thanks for sending his present. Then the adoptive mom asked Patrick if he wanted to talk to me and I heard him say yes. So I know he remembers who I am. I am so excited to see him. And I'm getting extremely antsy. It's less than a month now before I go. |

How exciting about the upcoming visits. Just breathe and enjoy yourself. Take lots of pictures.
