including bchild in a will?

I am about to update my will and I was wondering how many bmothers out there have included their bchild in their will? If so can you share what you have left for a bchild? Or why you have not included your bchild?

Heart

I am an a-mom and just wanted to say that my sons G-grandfather (b-mom grandfather) passed away last year...thus leaving him a large amount of money. I thought that when he turned 21 years of age he would inherit this money, but to my surprise grand parents (b-moms parents)put the money in our name..... I was completely touched. They wanted us to have access to it... in case we needed it for dear son.

Just wanted to share

I haven't made a will but I know my parents included my (relinquished) son in theirs on the proviso that he made contact before he was 25 years old. This has happened but my parents haven't said anything to me so I don't know if they will keep to this. I am now concerned about writing a will to include him even though contact has stopped as I feel morally he does have a right to my estate even though he doesn't have a legal right to it.

I haven't written a will yet. I know, I should, but...I have no excuse. When I do get around to it, I probably will include my birthdaughter. I don't know details-haven't really thought about it much since I don't have much of an estate! I definately plan for her to have something, though.

I dont have a will, I dont really own anything so there really isn't a need however I just got my first full time job since recently graduating from university and one of the benefits is life insurance so if i croak my son gets half and my niece gets half his parents know (needed his ssn from them) I thought they might think it wierd that i would list him when he has them but if they do they didn't say anything and when i do finally own something and make a will he will definatly be in it

After lots of thought I think that I am not going to put her in the will since she isn't interesting in being a part of my life. She has closed the door. Instead I think I will write a letter and put it inside my will leaving her my diary etc that I have written on my bmother experience and perhaps a couple of items of jewellery. She has great parents who have always provided for her.

My son is to receive my sapphire and diamond ring. (It's his birthstone.) Other assets are going to the children I am raising. At this point my other two are minors and that money would be used to raise them. My son's adoptive parents are fairly wealthy, so he does not need the money.

If I am to die, I have life insurance. 75% goes to my son and Husband (ya know, to bury me, pay off stuff, set up college for Nick) and 25% goes to Munchkin. I need her to know that she was important to me, even in death.

Physically, she will receive any blue topaz things that I have, the entire contents of "the adoption box," and a few other sentimental things that should be hers in my passing.

My mother is an adoptee. When her birth mother died, she was given the same inheritance as her 6 other( bio) half siblings.
