I post pictures

I have pictures of the adoptive family on the fridge and on the wall of family photos. I may be really weird but I don't consider him my son. I have always felt since the first time I saw his mom hold him that God intended for him to be their son not mine. I have a great relationship with his parents, his mom and I email back and forth all the time. I am truly blessed and will never doubt my decision.

I have pics up of Kara. I have one of her with me and Josh and Karma, a professional one. One of her with her parents, taken at the same time. One with all 6 of us (me josh karma kara t and d) one of just karma and kara. One of me karma kara and D, another of josh kara and T...

Pictures galore! I have TONS of pics on my walls though going up the wall along my stairs. Tried to put them up as if they were steps, too. And I still have another three feet by 10 feet for more!

I don't put up pictures

I don't have pictures they are in albums put away. My 8 year old is asking questions about my daughter now because he heard from my 12 year old daughter who has a picture in her room in a frame.(I just found it this morning) My 12 year old daughter has been taking my 6 year old birthdaughter's pictures without my knowledge. Maybe it's time I display them. I'm moving in a month so maybe in the new house.

Just out of curiosity have you sat down and talked to them about this? Hope you don't mind me asking but if you do just tell me to mind my own business . Pip

Haven't talked about it

My daughter know's she was 6 when the adoption took place but I never sat down with her and talked about it. I keep my feelings and emotions pretty penned up. I guess I'm not comfortable yet..or maybe I just don't know what to say. I did start crying Friday night because it was my birthdaughters birthday and my 12 year old asked what was wrong and I said it's your sisters birthday and I'm sad and she cried with me. My daughter asked if my birthdaughter will know us and I said yes her parents told her. That was is we didn't talk about it before that or after Fri. night..

My daughter likes to have copies of the pics of her sister, too.

I let her pick on or two out each batch to have copies of for her photo album.

Yes! I love to look at pics of my babe. I do not have them in the main house, I have roomates and non of us have personal pics. However, my room is a different story. I counted six possibly seven. I also have his art work he has made for me. I call them my love letters. I even have ordaments he has made me hanging off one of my house plants. If someone asks about it and i feel uncomfortable i can lie, otherwise i am a very proud momma!

My birthdaughter was just placed a month and a half ago and I have pictures of her all over. I fear that I will forget her as a precious baby and the last 3 years we spent together, so I keep them up.

After 33 years, I finally have pictures! So yes, they're up, including one of D at his wedding with his baby daughter, bride and parents. At this point in my life, if any one wants to ask -- let them. (There was a point in my life I would have been much more reticent!)

Blessings,
Kathy

I have one picture of my daughter that is out. I selected a closeup picture of her in the first few days of her life. I bought a special frame for that particular picture.

I can finally change my answer to yes. And again, it's a weight off of my shoulders. I had to run to K-mart today to purchase a frame for our recent family picture. In doing so, I grabbed two magnetic frames for the fridge. When I got home, I took my most recent favorite picture of Nicholas (Steelers GAME FACE picture) and my most recent favorite picture of the Munchkin and put them both on the fridge. Side by side.

And then I took a beautiful picture I took of Ariana, put it in her name frame and put it by my bed on the nightstand. (Along with Nick's picture in his name frame.)

I'm having a problem deciding whether or not I want to put a 5x7 of her in our living room or not. We have a frame which could be changed out (it's an engagement picture of Josh and I). I don't know if I want to display her by herself. I think I'd rather wait and have a picture of all of us (Josh, Me, Nick, Munchkin, J, D, JD, and possibly the boys... if possible; they're busy) and put THAT in a frame. That said, I'm looking to buy some collage frames for above our bed and one for the hallway. She will go into those as well.

It finally feels right... having her presence in my home. When she's so prevalent in my heart.
