Just to lighten the mood in this forum a bit, please feel free to stop in here, take a breather and discuss the Olympics.

What are your favorite events? Are you rooting for any non-Americans? (BLASPHEMY?~ I kid, I kid.) What do you wish YOU could do?

I love the luge, anything skiing and anything ice skating. Personally, I wish I could ski better than I can. I'm pretty beginner... maybe approaching intermediate. Josh and I are actually going skiing in March. (We went skiing on our honeymoon! We're such snow bunnies.)

I LOVE the Olympics and watch whatever is on. I of course cheer for my beloved home land of Canada, but will root for the Americans if the Canadians aren't around to cheer for. Four medals for Canada so far.

I am partial to the figure skating and am upset about Michelle Kwan but understand her decision and like her even more for it. If I have a few minutes here and there I put the channel on and watch what is on. I loved the half pipe!!!!

I've only watched the highlights but do enjoy the Olympics hence my avatar for the time being...explains who I support . I have been following how well the American and Canadian competitors though as well "in honour" of my forum friends .

did anyone see the interview with toby dawson this am on the today show. it was cute. he talked a little about growing up in a predominatly white community as a korean american (he was adopted at age 3, after being abandoned on the korean streets by 2 american ski instructors). he expressed how some of his earlier challenges shaped his character and helped him with the determination he needed to be an olympic medalist.

Okay did anyone watch the ice dancing last night with all the falling ?!?!?! I couldn't believe it since that is the one section of ice skating that there is rarely ever a fall. I know that they have uped the difficulty in dance but still I have NEVER seen that many falls in dance.
