I'm new here. My name is Katie, I'm 17 and live in Colorado. I had a beautiful little girl named Rebecca on april 26 of this year and we placed her with an adoptive couple. We have an open adoption, I get letters and pictures often and talk to the A-parents every week or so but haven't gone to see her yet, I'm just not ready for it yet. I've been having a really tough time with it all so I'm really glad I find this board

If you just placed three months ago, I would expect that this is a hard time for you...placing a child for adoption is no small feat! Remember to treat yourself kindly, gently, and to get counseling, if you aren't already in it. Deal with this now; don't stuff it away.
