I am finally placing my daughter for adoption, getting her away from my psych abuse (more like hurt, but...) and the yrs of phys abuse from my ex (now deceased). Its the best thing for her I know, and she knows too. She's 8, and she wants this too, a new start.
We're working w/ an agency to place her, and we've found a great family who wants to always keep us in touch. Only 1 drawback-agency doesn't EVER do older kid adoptions, ours is uniqe. I want so badly to connect w/ other families out there who have chosen open adoption for their older child/s. But can't seem to find any. Help! and thanks
