A poem

To all of you:

I once wrote a poem about my son's father in a really interesting format. I was thinking today, and decided that a sequal about his son was highly appropriate. I wanted to share it with you. So here it is.

--Annie

The Return of Light And Darkness

This boy in my arms, just a few hours old,

His eyes tell me stories. Adventures unfold.

Though my body is tired, in my soul there’s a spark.

This angel is perfect. He’s broken the mold.

So nowI embrace the light to my dark.

His father and I could never succeed.

With tears in my eyes, my child is freed.

I’ve accepted the pain and I’ve lost the fight.

I give up my heart to give him what he needs.

Now I am consumed by the dark to my light.

My heart is at peace. He’s in a good place.

And I can still feel his soft skin on my face.

My emotions in drive, my mind is in park.

I still love the child who’s enveloped in grace.

So again I embrace the light to my dark.
