So all my worrying was for nothing. I got my second update this weekend! He is doing pretty well. They moved, and are going to move again in July or August. They even asked for an update on me! They also had to spend 5 days in the hospital for acid reflux and weight loss. He apparently had lost too much and their new doctor was worried. All his tests and what not came back great and he gained a good amount of weight while there, he's almost 12 lbs. He's long and skinny with a huge ole head and big ole deep blue eyes!!!!!!

I am sorry to hear that your little guy had some problems, but am sooo glad that you heard from them as promised!

Do send an update on you. Send pictures, and let them know how much their update and the pictures they sent meant to you. I am sure that they stressed over what to say, what pictures to send, how to tell you that he has been sick (afraid that you would blame them or something). A few words from you could go along way to helping to build a stronger and more trusting relationship.

Oh, I'm so thrilled for you that you got your update! And glad your little guy is doing better!!

Definitely send that update. I know it is can be hard to write them, but it is so important. In looking back over the years, I wish I would have written more to my son and his family when he was little.

Thank you all for sharing in my joy! I am going to write them. Eventually. LOL - I'm not entirely sure what to say or how to say it. Got a lot going on in my life right now, so it'll be hard to fit everything in a letter that isn't too long. Thanks again!

I often (always, really) felt this way when I was trying to write letters. It's only in recent years that it hasn't been quite so difficult. Don't let your misgivings trip you up! I'm sure whatever you say will be just fine!!

I sent them a letter a few weeks ago. I just updated them on the last 6 months of my life in as small a space as possible. It was kind of theraputic. Thanks again for the support. I know I've been MIA for a while, but that's just a part of my charm...(actually I have no idea why I go MIA I just do, sorry...)
