Hi..... My name is Amber and I am a 22 year old single mom. I have two boys, Wesley (3) and Jacob (18 months). I just recently (4-22-09) gave birth to my third son whom I gave up for adoption. He was a result of my step-cousin taking advantage of me while I was on pain medication for an injury in a car accident. I hid the pregnancy from my family for nine months. I gave birth in the hospital and choose not to hold him. The next day I talked to an agency rep and I picked his family. This Thursday I met him and his parents for the first time. I was very nervous about the whole thing, but it wasn't bad at all. They names him Owen Michael. They want to meet my boys and even invited us to his Christening. They gave me lots of pictures and have even e-mailed me a few of them too. So, that is my story.

I am glad that you had a positive adoption experience, but sad about what has happened to you. It is rough enough to deal with what has happened and I know it is even rougher to have made the decision to adopt out your child. You are very strong for having come this far. If it is your choice, remember to stay active in your sons' lives. Both the ones living at home with you, and the youngest with his adoptive family. It will help ease the pain of what has happened to you, and allow you to move on with your life to be the best mommy you can be. :-)
