I'm Thankful For....

I'm thankful to have my job.

I'm thankful to change the lives of troubled young people.

I'm thankful to have found balance in my open adoption.

I'm thankful that I can live with the fact that my first family doesn't really want a reunion.

I'm thankful that I have a cat that makes me laugh and is my baby.

I'm thankful that my mom and dad are pretty healthy.

I'm thankful that all of the appliances in my house almost work.

Anyone else?

Musings of a Crazed Belle

8-19-2008 I get contacts again (YAY) my teeth cleaned (YAY) and a cracked tooth repaired (BOO). The cracked tooth is from work, man I love my job.
9-9-2008 My schedule at work goes back to "regular" overnights, thank goodness, I was on my last legs there for a minute or two.
10-4-2008 Visited with Kiddo and his parents. My folks and I met them for a few hours and it was great.
11-18-2008 Mom and I meet in Pierre for supper. Man these new fuzzy jammies are cute.
12-9-2008 Pictures in the mail. He looks just like me and the amazement of knowing someone that looks like me never ends.
12-12-2008 More pictures in the mail from my kiddo's paternal first grandparents. He is such a ham.
12-25-2008 Christmas ROCKED. I even got a Cabela's baseball cap for fishing. I can hardly wait!

I'm thankful that I made it through the weekend.

I'm thankful the Colts pulled out a win on Sunday night

I'm thankful that I have had two amazingly wonderful roommates in a row!

I'm thankful that it's a very short work week.

I'm thankful for my amazing friends in real life AND the awesome people that have been my support here.

And hopefully soon I'll be thankful for the pics I'll receive of Cupcake on her second birthday.

I am thankful for the port I had inserted in October, which makes my weekly/bi-weekly treatments much easier to handle

I am thankful for the Dr.’s who hung in there with me when the only thing I could tell them is, “I don’t know, I just really feel like crap!”

I am thankful for the friends I have here on the forums, more specifically, the ones who get my twisted sense of humor and have no problem dishing it right back

I am thankful that I have the kind of relationship with my son that allows him the freedom to talk to me about ANYTHING, no matter how taboo

I am thankful to Google Maps, because even after three years of living here, I still need to use them on a weekly basis

I'm thankful for my mom who bought me Mint Chocolate Truffle cream for my coffee and garlic laughing cow cheese and Ritz crackers for when I'm home.

Oh another one...

I'm thankful that I could crochet a million pairs (ok, not quite) of mittens for people that need them.

I am most thankful for my son, who just called me a couple days ago on the telephone. He's doing well, got a job promotion, and is healthy. And he's talking to me....

I'm another that really would rather not eat meat on the bone.
I went through a phase where I couldn't deal with raw poultry at all either...
