When the baby was born, she married someone else who adopted him. There has been no contact for 18 years. Now this boy may want to know if I am his father. Should I contact the adopted father to see what he suggest I do now? There would have to be paternity tests to confirm. Then what?

Contacting the adoptive father is a good idea. It would probably really comforting for the child to know if you are the birthfater or not. This may be a confusing time for you, but there may be some questions on both your parts that may want to be answered. Best of luck to you.
