I came to this forum with high hopes of finding peers. It does appear that most Natal Mothers are young and haven't had the experience of my ( much older) generation.
I did want some answers and opinions and ideas and got them from the adoptees and Natal Mothers, although they are much younger than my daughter and I and their experiences are different. I got some good answers and some I didn't want but have to accept.
I was interested in the varying rooms and still may go to them.
I was in foster care, was a foster parent, was born to parents, was a "throw away" child, has a brother relinquished, whom I will most likely never connect with. Again, different generations different experiences and influences. Had a bad "step-parent", had a "good step-parent". Had a full brother , has partial ( don't know how to phrase that) brothers, but, to me ( again different generation), they are my brothers. All of them, even the one I can't find.
Been estranged from my family ( my choice) and reunited ( my choice).
Thank you for so many experiences and opinions, it has impacted my life and shown me what to expect and not to expect.
