Here's a poem I wrote that I thought was a great way to honor all us mothers here and I'm dedicating this to all of you. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Hugs to everyone.

Heroes

Hero

What does it mean

Who is a hero

Is it you or me?

I’ve thought on this

For months now,

Wondered who heroes

Really are.

Heroes are always

Held in high esteem,

Always admired,

And loved from afar.

Hero, such a loaded word.

So many definitions,

In this lifetime alone

Have been given.

With mother’s day and

Birthmother’s day

Approaching

The meaning of Hero

Has been changing for me.

For you see, I believe

All of us can be

A hero

To someone, in some way.

And I’m here

To dedicate this today,

To all members

Of the adoption triad.

To let you all know,

Just how special you are,

In this life,

People like you and me are rare,

So we are heroes too.

We are some of

The greatest heroes

That have ever lived.

Silent and unknown to most,

But not unknown to God.

What we do

In living life each day

In making the sacrifices

That we have made

These things

Both bless and curse us

And make us

Most importantly

The better, silent heroes

Of this sometimes

Dark and dreary world.

God bless each of you

And know that today and always

You are and will always be

One of the world’s greatest heroes.

This by far, will be the BEST mother's day for me.
For I have finally found the missing piece of my heart.
(I FOUND MY SON!)

Thank you for the lovely poem.This will be my second Mother's day since i placed in summer 2004..but this year a bit different im expecting in mid september...so not only am i a birthmom..im soon going to be a "mommy"...i cant wait.
