The NC Coalition for Adoption Reform will host the first Birthmother Candle Lighting Celebration on May 6, 2006.

This celebration is open to anyone from the adoption triad living in North Carolina. It will be a night of listening to each others stories, poems, songs and mostly to get to know one another and celebrate those birthmothers who have relinquished a child to adoption.

It will be held at the Volunteer Center of Alamance County in Burlington, NC.
1635 Nova Lane. The celebration will be held from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

We have some people around this surrounding area who have been gracious enough to tell us they have an extra room or bed where you might spend the night if wanted.

We just ask that you RSVP by April 28 if you are planning on attending this event. Also please let us know if you will need a place to stay.

Wow. May I just wish you luck with this event? I wish Ohio had something of this nature.

Will someone be taking pictures or notes to relate to us how the event goes?

Why not host one in Ohio instead of wishing? Even if it is next year.... Plenty of time to prepare....

Because my anxiety level inhibits me from doing such a thing. I could attend but never "plan." (Well, not never. Maybe someday but definitely not in this phase of my life. I have many an issue to work through first!)
