An amom needing your help

I really want to get some imput on this one. DD bmom is a truly good person. I love her to death and she is very special to us. I know she is really going through the ringer over guilt from the adoption right now and I want to give her some resources. Any advice on books or other avenues? I have told her about this website which has helped me greatly, but I am concerned she will feel uncomfortable that I am also here. KWIM? Anyway I am sad and just wanted some suggestions from those who would understand better than I could.

My personal adoption blog (linked in my signature under the word birthmother) is dealing with a lot of adoption guilt/etc right now. (Of course, everything ebbs and flows!) There are also some great links of other firstmoms (and adoptive moms! and look for adoptees and momsingeneral) going through their own struggles in life.

brenda romanchik runs an organization for birthmothers called "open adoption insight". that's a great resource for her (has a helpline) and also has some small books that you can buy, which address bparent grief and the role of a birthparent. some of these books might be available here at the adoption.com bookstore.

Thanks Everyone. I copied this entire thread and have sent it to her. I want to give her the info without pushing her so I thought that would be the best option. I know you ladies are incredible and each of you have something to offer. The fact that you are willing to help someone you do not know is what makes you special. I truly hope she feels comfortable enought to contact you.
