Birthmother Poll

To all Birthmoms:

While attepmting to look for statistics for the ages of birthmothers when placing their children for adoption.. several of us here have found nothing solid to show the age breakdown.

Please take the time to answer for us the age you were at time of placing your child.

Thank you so much.. We will be tracking this for a few weeks..

MANY THANKS.. Yvonne

I was 21 when I placed in 2000.

She was not my first child. Was 18 when I had my daughter in 1997.

Not sure what all you are tracking...or what you are looking for.

Hope that helps.

My daughter's Mom was 23. It was March of 2004. She is now expecting a little boy in March this year who she will be parenting.

I really thought I replied to this thread. I'm confused.

I was 21 for conception, 22 at placement.
Birthfather was 24, 25.

Please understand gerber, that you are NOT a birthmother! Your due date is still VERY far away! You are not considered a birthmother until the papers are signed. Right now you are considering adoption. And no matter what decision you make... it is a decision that will have to be remade once your baby is born and in your arms.

You are an expectant mother. Congratulations. If you have any questions about adoption, please feel free to ask us.

Christine
