Can someone help me locate a midwife in my area with adoption experience?
I am considering an adoption plan, and I’d like to work with a Midwife who is familiar with adoption. I am currently around 12 weeks.
I am in Texas, in the DFW area, but I plan on relocating to Farmers Branch or possibly Carrollton. If anyone knows of a Midwife in my area, I would really appreciate a response. Thank you, Jane |

Midwife in Dallas
I'm not completely positive about this, but I think that the person who posts on this board named Missy M is a midwife in Dallas. You can do a search for her user name and then PM her to get confirmation.
Hope this helps, Kim (I'm in Dallas, too!)

Kim,
Thank you for the information. Maybe she will see my post and contact me. I feel odd contacting someone on a message board, although I don’t know why. |

Don't feel odd...
You shouldn't feel odd contacting someone on the message board. We are all here to help each other based on our personal experiences w/ adoption. I know I have benefitted greatly from information I've gotten here and friends I've made, and I am happy to help anyone who has contacted me about our facilitator, our social worker, etc. Missy M is very active on the board and is a birthmother, I'm sure she would be more than happy to help you or direct you to someone who could.
Kim

Thank you to everyone who responded.
Missy M is unable to help me, so if anyone else has any suggestions, I would really appreciate it. Thank you, Jane |
