but many member are in search C.U.B has a new Mission Statement: The Mission of Concerned United Birthparents is to provide suupport for all familly members separated adoption , to provide resources to help prevent unnecessary family separations to educate te public about tghe life long impact on all who are touched by adoptionand to advocate for fair and ethical adoption laws ethical adoption laws, policies and practices.
C.U. B. was started in 1976 it has changed over the years and is under a new leadership , the President is Karen Vedder and the new adress is Post Box 230457 Encinitas,CA You can find Concerned United Birthparents website is on the internet. I joined C.U.B. in 1980 after I placed my birthson . I left CUB when there was to much infighiting .I search and found my birthson but contact yet , I rejoined CUB last August .I am a member of the Los Angeles Chapter . I can say the member are against closed adopton and feel that it is very painful as they can show a potentrail birthmother another side of adoption. If you are a birthparent the want to join a support group that you could met the members at the CUB a Retreat they have each year in a different part of the country, also the Board meeting at same time. They have the CUB Comunicator and a new newsletters called CUB Chat. The problem I have with the adoption form on the internet is I will never met the birthmother I met on them. At CUB I can met and know birthmother and they are my friend even if we do agree on things.
