Talking Unexpectedly Expecting....

Well, I'm not sure if this thread totally belongs here, but I don't know where else to put it...

After three years and much disappointment, DH and I (especially me) had pretty much written off getting pregnant. We put all of our energy (and happily so, I might add) into adoption over the last year and a half.

But guess what? I think the universe had other plans for us right now, because today I went for my first prenatal appointment and I'm six weeks along! We took a HPT as soon as I missed my cycle, so we pretty much knew then, but I wanted to wait to tell until we'd at least seen the doctor.

I can't believe it! We weren't trying or anything. Just fooled around on a weekend getaway, and POW! Surprise!

We're really excited, but also really nervous. Our last PG ended (badly, badly, badly) at 8 weeks, so we're not out of the woods yet. I had some VERY light spotting yesterday, but Bean is fine according to the Doctor. We had an early US and an exam, and all seems to be as it should.

Still, if you could, please...pray with us that Bean grows and grows fast and furiously!

I'll keep everyone posted as things progress. Thanks for sharing this happy news with me!

Congratulations!!!

Coco...I have to admit, I was "one" of those lurkers on your other thread, hoping silently that everything would work out for you...well YIPPIE! I had to "come out" and say how happy I am for you.

Best wishes, and please know that you and "bean" will be in our prayers.

Becky

Was the weekend getaway that did the trick the spa/margarita weekend? If so, sounds like a great weekend!!

Hoping to hear continued great news on this thread....

Coco ... are you going to change your title from "Lady-in-Waiting" to "Lady-in-Maternity-Clothes"?

Or "Lady with Big Boobs" or "Lady with Swollen Feet" or "Lady with Intimate Knowledge of Morning Sickness"

COCO!

*weeps*

YAAAAAAAAAY!

You TOTALLY just made a rather dreary day (in weather and just generality) TOTALLY AWESOME. I am TOTALLY smiling, ear to ear, because of this announcement. HURRAH!

Let's see, so you're six weeks behind me. Or, five weeks and four days. Or whatever.

First of all, huge congratulations to you and your Husband. What a beautiful gift. Secondly, I will be praying for your little Bean. Butterball made it past some scary things and I have no doubt that your little bean will, too. *hugs*

Feel free to drop me a line and let me know how your pregnancy is going.

Oh yay. Reasons to smile all around.
