Coco, yay for JBE! I'm just amazed at the insensitivity of some docs. Why should he assume the worst when he doesn't know doo-doo? That's your job! You need a calm professional to tell you there's no need to worry until the tests are complete! Geesh!

Ugh! I'm impressed with both your and dh's restraint in not knocking the guy out. Talk about exactly what you don't need. But, felt a nice warm fuzzy when I heard about Ed's little leg waving in the air and dh talking to him...

Take good care of yourself. And when you have the next (NON-EMERGENCY, routine) ultrasound and if they find that mini Volkswagen, can I come take a peak!?!?

As always, thoughts are with you!!!!

Coco, I'm so glad everything worked out okay and you got to see/hear the Bean!

(thinking bad thoughts in the direction of insensitive ER docs!)

K will be 13 this year. This is the first baby for DH and I, so we're pretty dang excited.

Thanks, Cathy. It's great to see you!

My next Dr. appointment is tomorrow, and I can't help but be a little worried. Though we got good news last week, and I haven't had any more bleeding, I don't think I'm ever going to be thrilled to be going in for an U/S or check-up until Bean is past 20 weeks (though I'm sure I'll find a new worry after that, LOL)...so please, if you could continue to pray for our Bean, think good thoughts, etc., I truly think it's helped us along so far, and I'd be SOO grateful to you all!

(((((Coco)))))) - Sending good thoughts and prayers your way!!

Doctors sometimes don't have a clue! Your scenario reminds me of my son's birth - DH and I had the honor of being in the delivery room and witnessing that awesome moment when he took his first breath! Anyway, bmom was knocked out from the epidural, bdad and DH were sleeping and I was sitting awake when the doctor came in and proceeded to tell me, "Her (meaning bmom) monitor keeps shifting off her stomach everytime she moves, so we are going to do an internal monitor. It's no big deal. It just screws into the top of the baby's head." WHAT??? Being an adoptive mom and not having the pleasure of attending childbirth classes, I had never heard of such a thing! All I could picture was a 1/2" diameter drill bit screwing into the top of my baby's head! He did finally explain a bit more after he saw the mortified look on my face!!! There should be a mandatory course in med school called Bedside Manners 101!!!
