Did the on-call dr. realize you have other complications that make your pregnancy high-risk? I hope you went... or that at least you are at the dr.'s office this morning. Positive thoughts going out for you and Butterball. (((((((((((Hugs))))))))))) Nicole

Sweetie, my mother was spotting with me (and I'm almost 40). Her doctor was away (why do these things always happen when our doctors are away) and the doc on call put her on bed rest. When her doctor came back, he hollered at her and said that if she was going to miscarry there was a reason and that she should have let nature take its course (which of course frightened her). At any rate, it was no big deal apparently and I came out fine! Here's hoping you're going through something equally innocuous. My prayers are with you.

Quick Update before I go back to bed:
No news is good news right? Apparently 5 weeks is still to early to pick up a Butterball on a vaginal ultrasound. They took my blood to get my HCG level. They're taking it again on Wednesday to compare: my HCG levels need to double. If they do, it means the pregnancy is good, sticking and we're set, meaning the spotting and bleeding has been "normal." If they don't double, something is wrong. I don't know what their course of action will be at that point... and I hope I don't have to find out. I am calmer today as the pregnancy test at the doctor's office still turned positive and the nurse told me that I have to calm down between now and Wednesday, take it easy and actually get some rest at night. So, I'm trying. Thanks for the prayers, guys. While I am calmer, I'm still very distraught. My heart is aching right along with my abdomen. And, sucky, Josh isn't here to cuddle with; I'm spending my day off with him in Columbus, hopefully with good news that day. Keep us in your prayers.
