From experience (My daughter and I reunited 12 years ago) I can tell you that that first phone call or meeting IS NOT a panacea for your heartache and problems ... it is just THE BEGINNING of a stressful, guilt-ridden journey. You need counselling and guidance to find your way through the first
difficult years.

Check our book store, too; there are many excellent books on reunion experiences that can prepare you for the whirlwind you're entering.

Hi linda i read your post i tryed to e mail you there was no e mail address i tryed to call you number unlisted. Here is info I have I weighed 5lbs.1oz. at birth mother was 5ft. 4 inches father was 5ft. 11 Adopted with i1 other brother who was 6lbs. 12 0r 14 0z. at birth parents gave up 4 children in 1973 rights relinquished. There were 2 other children i believe they may have kept/I was put into foster care in Hickory in Catawaba co. I was born at 1242 am.
