I'm wanting to search for my birth mother but my adoption was closed. I'm trying my best by going thru a search agency called ALMA registery. My birth mother was an only child and also adopted. She was born in California in the year 1967. She had me at 21 and had 2 other kids born before me. I don't know my birth name because my adoption was closed. So I am still searching not giving up.

Kaila, were you born in California too? If so, I might be able to help you find your birth name, as well as your birth parents' surnames -- I have access to the California Birth Index, and it's fairly easy to find the listings.

ALMA is a good place to start as far as registries go. Be sure to also register here at adoption.com on the search/reunion registry. Another registry you should sign up with is the International Soundex Reunion Registry: www.issr.net. One other registry that comes to mind is www.gsadoptionregistry.com/.
