Hypnosis

Have any birth parents opted to undergo hypnosis in order to help them try to remember something regarding the adoption that will help them in their search? If so, did you find this to be a useful tool?

Oh man, I have debated doing this! Well, to help me remember the birth father's last name.

I did and it worked! I know I spent time with bson in the hospital and had some memories but stories that bdad and parents told me were "fuzzy". I am thankful I did because I must have "blocked" some just because of the trauma and I now have other memories that involve just the 2 of us. Afterwards, I requested my hospital records and, sure enough, they arrived recently and it's there in black and white. I can now see how much time I did have with him. Very blessed, indeed.

I am afeared of it..

Don't want to turn myself over to someone that will access my thoughts..

But I would like to remember the names.. would like to be able to give him the names..

Memories?

I don't know what was used for others, but I was given scopolamine during labor/delivery, which as far as I know I was knocked out--but I have heard that it causes amnesia, which would explain our loss of memory. It seems that I just have a couple of "snapshot" memories of the probably 4 or 5 days in the hospital--I don't even remember eating any meals there.

When I was in labor I came out of the drug.. maybe scopolamine.. in the elevator and made a joke about wanting a picture.. I remember the ward I was in after the delivery.. A part of me is sort of stuck there..

I don’t remember the time line.. I was dating and then we broke up and then I worked for someone and then I was fired..
