I wanted to ask from an adoptees point of view, whether or not you'd love to recieve a gift from your half brother or sister? I have not had the joy of a face to face with my bdaughter, but we have been messaging back and forth for a few months now. My birthday just passed and she sent me a message wishing me a happy birthday! (to my surprise!) We don't discuss the placement, and I try to avoid discussing my other three children, even though she knows of them and has pictures of them and said that she keeps them beside her bed. My daughter who is ten wanted to send her a present, along with the card I got and whatever I can decide to send from me ... What do you think, is it ok to include a gift from my ten yr old daughter and let her know it was from her? She is so anxious to know her older half sister, and at ten it's hard to explain why she has to be extra patient. Thanks for any input!!!!!

katlyn, I'm thinking, if she knows about the kids and keeps their pics next to her bed, she would think it was sweet if her little sis sent her a b'day gift. I think something your little girl picked out would be an awesome gift.
