On Saturday October 28, 2006 from 8:30 am - 5:30pm the American Adopition Congress will present their Southern Regional Conference on "Family Connections: The Evolving Face of Adoption".

Our keynote "Welcome to the Revolution: 10 Things Everyone Should Know About Adoption" will be the Executive Director of the Evan B. Donaldson Adoption Institute, adoptive father and author of 'Adoption Nation' Adam Pertman.


Three workshop tracks 'Forming the Adoptive Family', 'Ready to Search' and 'Reunion Dynamics' will be held throughout the day. Workshops on 'Search 101-Tips and Tricks' and 'Expectations in Reunion' and 'Open and International Adoption' are just among the few which will be held.

On Friday evening October 27, there will be a Hospitality Suite and viewing of Jean Strauss's 'Vital Records' from 7-10pm at the Best Western - Windsor Suites. There is also a block of rooms at the Best Western for this conference.
