Hi, I saw your thread and thought I would reply. I am from a family of five adopted children. So far only two of us have gone searching...all but one of us is from N.Y. the other is from West Virginia. specifically Charleston. I have learned that WV> does not uphold the sealed records laws, meaning you have a right to search and to be given info legally. Start where you can... do you know what hospital or unwed mother's home you were born in? You can check birth indexes should Charleston have them. You can also look for search angels for your state on the web or enlist the help of your local librarians. Just some ideas. Best of luck to you in your search! Daisy4
