I placed my daughter 11 years ago and am waiting for contact. I know it will probably be a while, but I am being very patient. In my experience, there is not a lot of people who understand where a birthmother, or birthfather, is coming from. They don't listen or don't understand our feelings of hurt, confusion, anger and so on. Sooooooo, if you EVER need someone to talk to or just want to vent, PLEASE e-mail me! I promise to get back to you ASAP!!! ambr91@hotmail.com
Love always to my fellow birthmothers, Angela |

Hi...I read your post and I can relate to what you said about no-one really understanding where we are coming from...I placed my daughter for adoption 19 years ago and my heart aches everyday for her or just for a piece of information about her..Let alone someone to talk to about it. In my family it is a hush hush subject..my husband just does not understand where im coming from and thinks that our family should be enough to make me happy ...and my family does make me happy but even though i gave my daughter for adoption , she is still part of me. Even though I do not know her she holds a place in my heart ..just as my other children do. I would love to search for her but I really dont know how to begin ...I tried to start a search a few years ago but I just didnt know where to turn..I went to the state where I gave birth and got my hospital records and I went to the adoption agency that placed her but I was really lost and didnt know where to go next. I did manage to get a copy of a picture of her when she was a baby from the catholic charities. And I look at it often. I never got to see her when she was born ...If you have any infomation that can help me in my search I would love to hear it and appreciate it so very much ...and I would like you to know if you would ever need to vent, as we all do I think ..My ears are always open as well..Thanks for lending an ear...Peggy

Hi Peggy,
My name is Carrie and I also placed my daughter 19 years ago furtunatly my husband is very supportive of me with my search. What I have done is registered with every search and reunion board on the web, also with soundex. You can contact the Bureu of Vital statistics in the state you had her in and request information they willl direct you in how to place your info in her records in case she goes to them looking for you. Also type in search angels on your browser and you will be directed to go to your state, these angels will help you for no cost. I will be praying for you to be reunited soon. If you need someone to talk to my e-mail is CARRIEDEQUATTRO@HOTMAIL.COM GOD BLESS CARRIE |
