Waiting Room of Patience (whatever that is)

Welcome to the waiting room!!

Are you finding it difficult to be patient while waiting for your First Children to make contact? Are you an Adoptee trying to patiently wait for your Birthparents to make contact? Then this is the thread for you.

Come join us in our Wall Climbing Olympics (Browneyes won a Gold Medal in that competition). Join us for the Floor Pacing Races (I would of won if it wasn't for Mommy24 luring me away with chocolates).

You are always welcome to the thread of silliness to help us remain patient. Lots of hugs and cheering going on here.

We will keep the light on here for you and a fresh pot of coffee, boiling water for your tea and lots of chocolates.

Finals should be coming up soon. I guess y'all will find me wearing a giant circle on the living room rug from all of this pacing and wondering. Hopefully after the finals DD will get curious again.

I have some Chocolate Brownie Overload Ice Cream if anyone cares to join me in the pacing.

Chocolates and coffee - I'm in! I agree, I have worn a path in the carpet as well. I am the least patient person in the world but somehow I've managed to bite my lip and hol doff the urge to push - probably because I know this is the most important time to suck it up. I'll be seeing you on the track!

You're the least patient person?? LOL!! I wouldn't know what patience was if it came up and bit me!! LOL!! That could be another category in the "Waiting Olympics"!!

I don't know how on earth I have managed to not push with DD. I guess it's because I really, really want to get to know her.

mmmm....coffee

Does it count if your b-mom said no to contact, but your hoping that since you have contact with your grandparents she come around? If so I am in! I come bearing a huge box of chocolate.

I am also trying to be so patient in waiting for my nonid, but I heard from other people, who got theirs from the same place, that it takes about 6 weeks.

is ANY and ALL waiting allowed? I am waiting about two weeks for a letter from A's amom and til june or july when HOPEFULLY (fingers crossed) we will have a F2F.

You women are INFINITELY strong, and I am so new to this I cannot imagine waiting years. The next two months seem far enough away...

Jr. Olympics maybe?? I could gold medal in denial...

I love unexpected phone calls - especially making them. Maybe that is what we need - a round robin of phone calls to get these people we are "waiting" on motivated. Is it bad to want to make your own destiny??????? I suck at patience. Now - chocolate eating - is that a bonefied event in the olympics? If so, I'm all over that.

Mommy24 - it is your job to lure me away from climbing the walls with chocolates...so you must have the chocolates!! LOL!!

I wish there was a way to get things moving along. All of this "waiting" has caused me to sign up as a Camp Leader this summer at our GS Twilight Camp. I'm also checking into an Assistant Position for our GS Service Unit. See what all of this waiting causes me to do????

Oh well...I guess I'll have stories to tell DD when she finally decides to meet me.

I have chocolate, A wise admin once told me I should ALWAYS have a stash of chocolate. So Roni, what kind would you like? Hurry down to get it, I am too tired to climb up there and give it to you

Hey, save some chocolate for me! It's been 8 days, 20 hours, and 59 minutes since my CI called saying she found my DD. WAITING to see if she'll consent to contact....................

You'd think all the pacing and wall climbing would burn off the calories from the chocolate, but it's not working. By the time she says yes, if she ever does, I'm gonna weigh 900 pounds!
