If you had to think about what kind of trouble to be brewing you aren't doing a very good job. I will be cooking Friday morning/afternoon and baking Saturday night. Plus I am dropping into a friends work place tomorrow (lucky for me it is a liquor store) and picking me up some stuff to make adults beverages when I get home from work at night.

Well the handoff is done...D (A's mom) should be getting it Friday and then fingers crossed she'll want to send me something back!!! I guess she's not sure when the adoption will be finalized yet...the courts are being really screwy. I hope it's soon!!! I really think that's what's keeping her from meeting me, so if y'all could send all the good vibes you can that the courts hurry up and finalize so I can see DD and meet her Mother that would be fantastic!!!

Until then, guess what? I WAIT!!!

Oh well, tonight I'm going to a concert in the park with friends and drinking some wine so hopefully that will calm me down and relax me....

Okay, I get there to the interview. The Recruiter starts asking all kinds of questions...the kind of questions you ask when you have been offered the job. LOL!! I told her I had my DD's first day of school off and I asked if that was a problem. She sent an email off and a couple of minutes later she told me no problem. She hands me off to the girl I had my 2nd interview with. I'm nervous, but the girl I previously interviewed with was talking to me like we have known each other for years!! She hands me off to the guy I would be supporting. He was super sweet!! At the end of the interview he told me he has a life outside of work and he expects his employees to have one too! YAY!! He said he is very involved with his sons and he explains more about what he does. I asked him if he had a problem with me volunteering with Girl Scouts. He said no and he asked what do I do. I told him I am a Brownie Leader (he grinned) and I told him I am the Service unit Assistant Manager which is a fancy title for being in charge of a file box (he laughed). Told me I must be one organized person...of course!! LOL!! He hands me back to the 2nd girl. She pulls me into her office and starts asking how it went. She seemed excited. LOL!! The recruiter comes and gets me and tells me they are interviewing another person this afternoon and one tomorrow morning and they should have their decision by the afternoon!!

So there you go...hurry up and wait!! This place is further from home, but I will be working with other Assistants again which I dearly miss!! Well, actually having an office right outside the boss' office will be nice too ('cause I'll have an office). LOL!!!

I guess things are slowly starting to fall in place...does that mean the last piece is DD???

OOOH roni, i HOPE the last peice is DD and that it all falls into place! Your interview sounds a lot like how my interviews sounded for the job I have now (which means I got it, so I hope it means you got it too!)

The SW said that D speaks very highly of me though, even though we've never met, and says that she feels very lucky that I was the birthmom she ended up with. It was actually one of the most positive interactions I've had with the SW...although I think I always say that, so tomorrow should be the day I get over analytical and start to pick apart our meeting for things that went wrong...so get ready for moody TG tomorrow!

I've been in SD for the past 3 days and have been using it as an exercise in saying less...just reading what you all are saying without saying anything myself. What exciting developments for TG and Roni! And Brown, I hope that yours turns into an exciting development (a real response followed by some action). And Leigh, pineapple vodka? Sounds crazy. I had my first martini ever in my life this past weekend at a wedding. I've always been scared of anything with vodka, but I liked it. And Kathy, still breathing? Not resorted to violence or legal action?.

Roni, definitely let us know when you hear about the job! How could they not love you?

Tomorrow is friday but it will be extended by yet another family birthday party *YAWN*. I just prefer smaller get togethers where I'm not having my littlest cling to me because she's feeling shy and a million conversations in Swedish being thrown around.

This has been such a long week!!! Hurry and get here Friday...5:00 Friday!! LOL!!!

If this piece (about the job) falls into place then the next piece will be my little one. If we can get the termination and adoption completed then that will open alot of room for my first DD. BTW - the other Attorney is now requesting an Ad Litum for the little one after the Judge waived it. I'm okay with getting one we choose...I don't want to risk not having the termination on a technicality. The other Attorney is also requesting the Child Support Enforcement case and the Termination/Adoption Case get combined. I hope that wouldn't mess things up because the Term/Adopt part is supposed to be sealed.

I do think DD is the last piece to my puzzle. Did I tell you that the new job is about 3 - 4 miles from DD's college? That scared me when I realized that. I'm afraid if there is an honest accidental run in she will take it the wrong way. I'm thinking the chances are slim anyway. I doubt a Sophomore in College would be shopping for "Professional" attire or eating lunch at the same places my girlfriend and I would eat at.
